Law of Evidence Essay Help : Case List
This area of law is concerned with tight rules in relation to the presentation of facts that serve to either prove or disprove the matter that is considered to be in issue regarding an assertion or fact that may or may not be included as part of court proceedings depending on its relevance and important to the case at hand. Generally, such evidence can be broken into three categories – (a) testimony (that tells); (b) exhibits (that show) and (c) other documentary material – that are to be presented at either a trial or a hearing and matters may be affected by social and/or legal practice, as well as the way in which the evidence was actually obtained in keeping with the remit of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (‘PACE’) 1984 amongst other legislation.
Matters that are usually to be considered are issues of hearsay and character, regarding the use of witnesses under the Criminal Justice Act 2003, as well as issues in relation to forensic science.
